The shear magnitude (5000 people, 15 nations), the race for time, in a monsoon, a day before the cave is underwater for 80 days. The genius and risk to anesthetize them and the absolute courage of every single person including the darling fresh faced boys is required viewing for anyone who needs to believe, or who never believed, in miracles. It is on Amazon Prime (note: minimal subtitles in beginning) but any way that you can see this please do. Even if you read and followed the story- the complexity of the rescue puzzle, visualizing the nuances and risks and witnessing the profound courage is absolutely fascinating to watch unfold.
The shear force of humanity touched by a power is the only way to consider this event and outcome. Impossible? My friends, for those in pain with dwindling hope, for those just beginning a terrifying adventure, for those bereft and unbelieving. For those challenged beyond measure, for those who gave up long ago. I implore you to seek out this pure gift. The re-creation of events is itself a treasure.
