It is the dawning of 2021. The 2020 “perfect vision” I wrote about last new year devolved into a blurred dystopia. Let’s shake it off and begin anew. Enter the Age of Aquarius! Some of us recall the play and movie “Hair!” and the uplifting 5th Dimension belting out the tune of freedom, but did we have appreciation at the time? Interesting in this new astrology year, Aquarius signifies experience, direction, looking to the future, progressive thinking, increased technology and humanitarian spirit. Some say the American revolution and Industrial revolution both were attributed to Aquarian age. The concept brings with it the beginning of new advancements in ideas, technology and medicine. Yay!
I am a believer! How do we tap into this renewed energy and develop a plan? “Oh Joanne, we can’t take any more working on ourselves, we are exhausted!” Hey, I’ve seen some on Zoom and just add a headband to the long straggly hair and be perfect for a part in the musical. It’s time to rejuvenate! No more low energy, waiting for rescue and avoidance behavior. We have been in “timeout” for over 10 months. In what crazy world is doing nothing a good thing? Let’s all make a pact and do something now that taps into the Aquarius energy and expresses our humanitarianism.
“Golden living dreams of visions”. Make a plan for your future then dive in- reach out further to engage others. Help to home school, send to a food pantry if you are at risk and can’t go in person, offer to cut someone’s “long beautiful hair“! So many opportunities to open your life to possibilities…”the mind’s true liberation“.
Once the pressure was applied to shut our lives down, no one wanted to be brave and triage a better plan for the nation… Docs are furious about this. It is laziness and regulators find it easier to control rather than work on real, creative and sustainable actions. Well, we are ready for humanitarian efforts to lift each other up and out of the abyss (or tub) and get this train wreck back on track.
Sure, wear a mask and don’t congregate until the vaccines are more available (and do get one, actually two). Let’s stop giving into pressure to lose freedom. “Let the sunshine in!” It’s the Age of Aquarius for goodness sake- be a rebel.
